This week I finally got motivated to take out Father Christmas and place him on the shelf.

Ornaments were hung with care.

And I have my lovely daughter, Toots, to thank for her delightful, motivating personality. She was right by my side ready to inspect every decoration, ornament, and figurine. She even took it upon herself to add a little touch of the season to her bedroom.

But I did make at least one executive decision.

Even rusty objects get a little seasonal flair here at the
farmette.
Very pretty. I hope to be in the Christmas spirit after the weekend. Snow is reportedly on the way tomorrow with wind to follow. Could get interesting out here on the prairie.
ReplyDeleteGreat holiday post! I love your rusty can. How did you make it snow on your page?
ReplyDeleteI just love your home!!! Tell Toots she did a great job supervising the decorating! We have an old milk can too - just not quite as "rustic" as yours. :)
ReplyDeleteRandy - I used a widget I found through Google. I "plugged" it into an html gadget space on the layout page.
ReplyDeleteToots is adorable, she would motivate me. I don't think I'm going to need a widget to get snow. We are suppose to get plenty today and tonight (Saturday).
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I love rust and greenery with a bow--it just looks awesome! Your daughter is adorable and I love that she is a decorator already. Wanting her own little tree. I always had one in my room growing up too. Your home is just beautiful and it looks so warm and inviting. Love it!

The decorated rusty can is obviously my favorite! Love your new header picture!
ReplyDeleteI need to dig out our Christmas decorations. I love the milk can. I left one back in Illinois at our house that I need to get still.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is such a cutie -- what a great idea to put some decorations in her room. :) I bet it really feels Christmas-y when the lights go out.
ReplyDeleteI haven't quite gotten my act together with regard to the decorating. It's always very minimal. That's just me. But I do appreciate others who go all out.
Wishing you a good weekend!
Pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove that ornament...too cute!

I like how you have decorated your rusty can and the whole Christmas feel of your page. Maybe you might have inspired me to take a trip up into the loft and find the decorations.
ReplyDeletePeacefulness.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Please have you all a wonderful Sunday.

ReplyDeleteNice way to get into the Christmas spirit. And good executive decision - brought that rusty can right into the season !
ReplyDeleteA bit tough to get into the spirit here without snow and cold ...
That ol' rusty milk can looks festive for sure.
ReplyDeleteI love to decorate for Christmas! Actually, I enjoy decorating in general but Christmas is my favorite. Stop over and take a tour, I just posted some photos on my blog. How precious to have your daughter's help, I know that I'm grateful for my two dd's assistance! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you put a wreath on the rusty milk can; imaginative for sure and you didn't even need Toots help!
ReplyDeleteNew header is just perfect. No ornaments for us this year as we will be in Colorado for the week spoiling the grandchildren
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Your daughter is so cute! Look how happy all the Christmas decorations have made her! I am visiting my grandson for his second birthday and have not even begun to decorate..I'll be one busy person pretty soon trying to get it all done.
ReplyDeleteCute! My son has his own Christmas tree, too. Actually, two. One for his tv room and one for his bedroom. I'll have to get busy and show some pics over at my place.
