You know, a long time ago a lot of roads were built around property lines and along old fence rows (to appease farmers)...makes me wonder if there had ever been a fence where this road is now.
When I was here visiting, I had my granddaughter on my knee looking at your photograph and Willy singing in the background. She almost fell asleep. Good job Michele...are you for hire?? Soothing music, beautiful scenery...all I need is a train track thumping along and I would be asleep myself. Speaking of which: are there many train tracks where you live that still operate regularly? I hear the trains here at our new place on a regular basis and I just love it. They have that far-away sound, taking me someplace I have never been yet.
Mother Nature reclaims her own!

Outstanding, Michelle. This looks painted or etched more than photographed.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it has a soft, painterly effect - such an iconic country scene.

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing old barns so close to the road -- not sure why, but this one is wonderful. Thanks for sharing at RT, Michelle. :)

ReplyDeleteThere have been times when I've half expected kudzu would start covering me over if I stood in one place for too long.
